The Pulse in Q2
Several themes have been recurring across Q2:
Local impact resonates because it is tangible and easy to explain, particularly in social themes such as affordable housing, healthcare and quality of life. Yet local rarely means strictly national: for climate, biodiversity and strategic autonomy, a European lens often makes more sense.
Scalability remains the central challenge. Many impactful initiatives are small, while institutional investors require scale and professional implementation, making strong partnerships essential.
Impact must be embedded in the investment process and meet the same standards on return, risk, liquidity and governance as any other investment.
The role of institutional investors extends beyond capital: by setting the agenda and raising the bar for managers, they help develop more investable solutions.
